How does Time Out Tuesday work?
Time Out Tuesday is a fundraising event started by FGV Smart Start in 2006. Local citizens agree to be ‘timed out’ at a local site, usually a child care program in each county, where they must call their friends and associates that will make a donation to get them released. Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $250 during his/her one-hour incarceration. All donations go to FGV Smart Start programs and services that benefit young children, ages 0-5 years, and their families.
