Time Out Tuesday is a fundraising event started by FGV Smart Start in 2006.  Volunteers take Time Out of their busy schedules to see the great works going on at one of our local child care facilities and to raise funds to support ongoing services for families with children ages 0 – 5.  Each Volunteer is asked to reach out to friends and family to raise a minimum of $250 during his/her one-hour timeout period.  All tax deductible donations go to FGV Smart Start programs and services.

Proceeds from the 2024 and 2025 Time Out Tuesday events were awarded to child care professionals in Franklin, Granville, and Vance counties.  Some received mini-grants to make improvements at their child care facility.  Some received scholarships to assist in their efforts to obtain degrees in Early Education. 

Plans are under way for our 2026 Time Out Tuesday fundraisers to be held in April
